A combination of Mappa Burl and black epoxy give this executive office set a bold yet clean and sophisticated look. The intent for this set was a simplistic and timeless design while focusing on the inherent beauty of burl wood. A waterfall on each end of the desk sets off the bold look when you enter the room. The inner heartwood of Mappa Burl (aka European Poplar) is peppered by an interesting darker, bark-like pattern in tight clusters and is truly one of the most beautiful woods we work with when we are able to acquire it in larger slabs. A custom console cabinet features two 44" wide soft close file drawers on the left, and two 44" wide doors with shelves on the left. The base legs for the main desk are made of powder coated 1/4" thick laser cut plate steel and give the look a minimal clean line at the floor.
