At a solid 4” thick, this Siberian Elm entertaining table stands out in a room. To pair this table with the room setting, the slab surface is stained white, while the sides are stained gray. The custom designed and fabricated base is made of 6” x 6” steel tube to give the overall look of the piece a heavy presence and to counter support the weight and height of the slab top. Large natural voids in the slab are filled with clear epoxy resin to increase surface functionality, while maintaining the visual appeal of the natural effects of a tree’s life cycle.
