This Francis desk is a single 2.25" thick slab of Black Walnut with spectacular grain.  Imperfections and holes from the natural process of a tree's lifespan are meticulously filled with clear resin to make the surface perfectly smooth and flat.  The simple custom designed steel base is powder coated 'gun metal' gray.
